New Vision Bradford celebrate Time to Talk Day

On 1st February New Vision Bradford celebrated the nations biggest mental health conversation- Time to Talk Day.

Happening every year it is a day for friends, families, communities and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives. The more conversations we have, the better life is for everyone. Talking about mental health isn’t always easy and sometimes it’s even harder to say how you really feel. But a conversation has the power to change lives.

To celebrate the day light refreshments were provided in the reception and staff areas encouraging people to help themselves and have a conversation with each other. Resources, from Mind, were also shared to give people conversation starters.

New Vision Bradford also held a training session with their volunteers. The first part of the session focussed on stigma and the impact of the words that we use. During the second half of the session everyone enjoyed lunch and talked about their experiences around mental health.
